Our weekend kicked off a bit earlier since we had a doctor’s appointment on Friday afternoon. Good news- it looks like Baby Z is doing well and could arrive any day now- but it doesn’t mean she will. Riding in the car for a long period of time (45 minutes-1 hour) gets pretty uncomfortable and I start getting contractions/cramps, but they’re still the kind that ease up once I move around a bit.
Saturday morning we got up early and drove over to Winter Harbor for a meeting…well, my boyfriend had a meeting, I got to walk around for a bit. I ended up perusing the Winter Harbor 5 & 10, and ended up buying a couple books. One was a Downeast Children’s book called Leroy Lobster & Crabby the Crab:
The other one was a book of Downeast Ghost Stories, which was completely a nostalgic purchase. When we used to go camping with our grandparents as kids, Grampy always had a book of ghost stories that he’d break out when we sat around the campfire. I wish I could remember the name of the lumberjack one he told us in the White Mountains, but it was by far the scariest and I ended up letting my brother sleep up in the loft that night 🙂
The rest of the day was pretty lazy. I did manage to do the third trimester Active Maternity workout and went for a 4 mile walk (I listened to the WWC recap of Real Housewives of NYC, a great way to stay entertained). Besides that, it was a day of studying and sleeping for us.
Sunday I woke up with WAY more energy (which I’d hope for since I was asleep for 9 hours straight). I started out doing the Shift Shop 35 Minute Speed workout (modified) and Total Body Chisel for weights, and did a 3 mile walk. Glad I got these out of the way early because it got HOT!
Later on we got a package from my boyfriend’s family for Baby Z with all kinds of goodies 🙂
And I started working on her Memory Book. My mom did a version of these for both my brother and I, and they’re some of my prized possessions now! More on that later this week 🙂
Happy to say I’m on a 3 week streak of staying awake for Game of Thrones! It probably helped that I had a snack on hand- Little Lad’s Herbal Popcorn is more addictive than Smart Food, I swear! I try to eat healthy most of the time, but sometimes you just gotta treat yo’self.
How was your weekend?
